TODAY I AM SOBER AND I AM GRATEFUL I have gone through many difficulties since I got sober but I still remain grateful and humble. This disease of alcoholism is more powerful than me. It is cunning, baffling, and powerful! Today I can accept my weaknesses and accept God into my life to give me strength to battle my disease of Alcoholism. At the Cleveland House I can enjoy the beach, living in a nice place, having things good, but still remain sober. I owe Alan Rubin, the owner of the Cleveland House (mens halfway hours), more than I could ever repay him. Alan would let me know that everything is going to be alright as long as I stay sober. His friendship through the years is one I cherish and one of a powerful example.

6 YEARS CLEAN AND SOBER AND I AM GRATEFUL The Cleveland House was instrumental to my early recovery. I am now 6 Years Clean and Sober. I was fortunate enough to carry weekly AA meeting to the men at Alan Rubin's Halfway House. Not only did this enhance my personal recovery, but many lifelong friendships with recovering alcoholics have occurred. I WAS HANGING OUT WITH THE WRONG CROWD My downfall was always hanging out with the wrong crowd, which always kept me from achieving my goals, dreams and sobriety. At this point in my life, I will never allow myself to make those same stupid mistakes or hang out with people that don't take sobriety seriously. I am now 28 with a indescribably positive outlook on life. My true intentions are to stay sober for the rest of my life and accomplish all these goals of mine.
